NHL action has looked part sleepy and part cerebral over this past week.  The top stories right now involve a Tomas Plekanec suspension over a minor penalty for tripping, and an abused-dog complex that Montreal Canadiens’ fans have given goaltender Carey Price.  They boo a lot and it’s loud and sounds French.  I’d be scared too.

Mats Sundin’s former team appears to be headed towards the hard part of the rebuilding phase.  If Nik Antropov is still a Toronto Maple Leaf on March the 5th then I’ll shave a maple leaf into my chest-hair.

Now I understand why Mats waited way too long to make his return to the ice for the Vancouver Canucks.

His body must have taken a lickin’ when he donned the goalie mask to play “Jason Voorhees” in ‘Friday the 13th’.
