McCabe Set For Toronto Return
More often than not, when a player is shipped out of Toronto, they flourish (see Brad Boyes, Al Iafrate, Larry Murphy, Mathieu Schneider, and Russ Courtnall just to name a few). I don’t know who’s more at fault for the pressure of playing in Toronto, the media or the fans. The Toronto Maple Leaf fans sure have some balls considering they haven’t even smelled a Stanley Cup since 1967 when there were six teams in the league. Know this though, Bryan McCabe is going to play the shittiest best hockey game of his career tonight. I take Florida, and McCabe will make an impact.
Not that I recommend watching this game tonight - there are actually some good teams in action elsewhere. Both the Flyers and Capitals, and the Devils and Hurricanes are scheduled for puck drop at 7:00pm EST, and later tonight the Sharks roll into Calgary to face the red-hot Flames.
Marian Gaborik may only be 26, but he has the hips and groin of a geriatric dance instructor. Will someone please banish this guy from the NHL and send him to Russia for next season? He makes Martin Havlat look like Steve Larmer.
