Flyers Win, Hartnell Scores Hat-Trick

Published by SL at 10:40 pm under NHL News Edit This

Scott Hartnell of the Philadelphia Flyers is somewhat of an enigma.  He does not possess first-rate talent, but he has managed to find plenty of time on the top lines of the Philadelphia Flyers and with the Predators during his tenure in Nashville.

Hartnell scored 3 goals in a 6-5 victory over the Hurricanes tonight in Philly.  Hartnell scored on a second period powerplay, and potted two more in the third period including a shorthanded goal.  The rugged Regina, Saskatchewan native also had a fight in the first period with Casey Borer.  Talk about a contribution!

Eric Staal led the way for the Hurricanes with 2 goals and an assist.  Hartnell’s hat-trick gives him 4 goals in his last two games, but he had gone the previous eight games without scoring.
